Traditional Arts and Crafts Market at Weinberg Castle
The Weinberg Castle Advent in Kefermarkt is one of the most atmospheric Advent markets in Upper Austria and places great emphasis on the high quality of the crafts on offer.

More than 120 exhibitors will impress visitors from Friday, December 12 to Sunday, December 14, 2025, daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a rich and sophisticated selection of handmade art objects. Selected artisans will demonstrate their skills live in working workshops. With six concerts in the historic Knights’ Hall, singer-songwriter "Die Mayerin" will get everyone into the Christmas spirit daily at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Every day at 2 p.m., author Margit Obermair invites both young and old to the tower for a fairy tale hour, and daily at 4 p.m., Josef Mitschan tells fairy tale stories from his hat in the tower. The aria trumpeters of the Kefermarkt Music Band, as well as the Nordwald Hunting Horn Blowers, spread festive Christmas cheer every evening from the castle tower.

For culinary delights, the castle restaurant, the Christmas bakery, and many gourmet stalls with regional specialties provide tasty treats.

A free shuttle service runs from the parking lots at the train station directly to the festively decorated castle, ensuring a stress-free arrival and departure. Visitors can end their Advent market day comfortably in the ice cellar in front of the castle with musical entertainment until 10 p.m. (on Friday and Saturday).
