Garsten Advent

The festive atmosphere of the market in the “Am Platzl” Square in front of the baroque abbey church make the Garsten Advent a popular meeting place for young and old alike. Nailsmiths and carpenters demonstrate their age-old crafts, in the local elementary school 55 exhibitors display their arts and crafts. Select fringe events such as a pastoral play, bugle players on the top of the tower and a concert by the “Florianer Sängerknaben” boys’ choir create an enchanting Christmas atmosphere. The “Nativity Scenes in the Prelature” exhibition displays beautiful nailsmith crèches. Open on the 29/30 Nov and 6/7/8 Dec 2025, from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm.
