Advent Calendar Village Steinbach an der Steyr

The festively decorated market stalls with their glittering lights bestow a very special flair on the romantic Ortsplatz Square. Every year, seven town houses are decorated with life-size Advent windows. From the 1st to 24th of December at 5:00 pm, accompanied by a medieval ceremony, one of these lovingly decorated windows is opened daily by visitors. Old and new handicrafts, regional specialties, festive Advent concerts and Europe’s largest nativity scene collection are what Steinbach an der Steyr is all about. Our special tip: The Steyr Valley Museum Railway connects Steinbach with Steyr! Open 7./8. Dec. and 14./15. Dec. 2024, Saturday from 1:00 pm. and Sundays and holidays from 10:00 am.
